Nice. It's a shame that unfortunate things have to happen for me to get to read all this interesting stuff from everyone.

Emmylou is my queen. Sometime in the 70s I went to see Joe Walsh at the Shrine in LA and she opened. Turned my head around and changed it forever. I found this quote and yes it was weird. :) Love at first sight.

"I saw Emmy at the Shrine Auditorium, about the time she cut "Together Again." Introducing her band, she proudly claimed that Burton was "the greatest guitarist in the world." A chorus of booing from the audience. Wrong audience, as it turned out: she was opening for Joe Walsh."

I've told my three ex-wives that the only woman I would leave them for is Emmylou Harris. Apparently they didn't hold me to the same high standards...
